Your money only moves when you say so. Here are the protections built into every JOYET account.
Payments
A PIN on every payment.
Nothing leaves your wallet without your 4-digit transaction PIN or your fingerprint. Your PIN is stored hashed, never in plain text, and too many wrong tries lock it.
- Change your password any time.
- Reset a forgotten password by email.
- A Security checkup shows what to turn on next.
Identity
Real, verified people.
Accounts are verified with NIN or BVN, a liveness check and, for the highest tier, an ID, a selfie and proof of address. Limits grow as you verify more, so a stolen login can't empty a big account.
- Your documents are stored privately.
- Only authorised staff can view them, and every view is logged.
Devices
You control where you're signed in.
See every phone signed in to your account and sign out a lost one remotely. Signing in on a new device signs out the one used least recently.
- See the device model and when it was last used.
- Don't recognise a device? Sign it out, then change your password.
App lock
Lock the app, and your chats.
Turn on App lock to protect JOYET every time it reopens. You can lock your messages too, so nobody reads your chats if they pick up your phone.
- App PIN is separate from your transaction PIN.
- Stored securely on your own device.
Fraud checks
Money going out is checked for unusual activity before it leaves.
Automatic refunds
If a bill payment fails, the money goes back to your balance.

Ask the in-app assistant any time, or chat with a real person.
We never ask for your PIN
Not on WhatsApp, not by phone, not by email. Anyone who asks is a scammer.
Stay safe
- •Only deposit to the address shown in your own app, on the network it shows.
- •Check the name before every transfer: @username or bank account.
- •Never share your PIN, password or SMS codes with anyone.
- •Ignore "JOYET support" that messages you first on WhatsApp or Telegram.
